Stephanie Ostrander

Stephanie began her Montessori training this summer and is attending the West Side Montessori School Teacher Education Program to obtain her American Montessori Society Early Childhood (3-6 years) credential. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from The College at Brockport State University of New York. Stephanie fell in love with Montessori and the idea of each child learning at their own pace and not in the structured setting she grew up in. She observed many of her classmates struggling to learn things the same way that she did, and they weren't given the opportunity to try any other way. Stephanie feels each child should be given every chance they can to learn in the way that is right for them.
